Also, we have a resistograph to check tree roots and internal tree structure for dead wood. This is recommended for any tree that is near targets such as houses, walkways, playgrounds and streets. Reasonable rates on resistograph consultation, based on number of trees analyzed. The instrument data is downloaded to a laptop for report processing. This is the most accurate tree testing equipment on the market. It is manufactured in Germany and distributed

FERTILIZING

Addition of the correct amount of fertilizer can promote healthy flower production and foliage growth while an excessive fertilizer application can decrease plant health and can lead to decline and death. Over application or incorrect application of fertilizer can contribute to polluting our rivers, streams, lakes, and estuaries. Excess fertilizer can increase the likelihood of some plant diseases. Fertilizing plants that have already outgrown their allotted space can only lead to more pruning. A moderate rate of growth and good, green color is desired for most woody plants.

PRUNING

A tree may need pruning for a variety of reasons:

• to remove diseased or storm-damaged branches
• to thin the crown to permit new growth and better air circulation
• to reduce the height of a tree
• to remove obstructing lower branches
• to shape a tree for design purposes

RESISTOGRAPH TESTING

The resistograph is an instrument that detects decay and cavities in trees and timber. Through resistograph technology, an arborist is able to detect wood decay, stages of rot, hollow areas, cracks and ring structure. The resistograph is an ideal device for estimating tree stability and longevity. The resistograph is based on a drilling resistance measuring method developed by Frank Rinn in Heidelberg, Germany.
